Arrival at the beach. Time to choose the best deckchair, as close to the water as possible to hear the waves crash, and order a fresh green juice to start the day on a detox note. A small moment of happiness that augurs well for the day ahead. I head off for a swim in the translucent blue lagoon of Plage de Pélican. The water is aquamarine and the beach looks like paradise... I read The Flying Gentleman, the book about Rémy de Haeanen, the last Caribbean adventurer and the first to land on Saint-Barthélemy in 1945.
A quick trip to the beach bazaar, the pretty boutique on the beach. I browse through a selection of gypset treasures: a beautiful swimsuit by Tatiane de Freitas, a precious kimono by Hand So On, a large embroidered Gyp Sea hat by Kilometre Paris...

It's already lunchtime. I choose a fresh ceviche and a magnificent grilled whole fish to share with its smoked barbecued vegetables. For dessert, I opt for a coconut sorbet, although I'm already missing the exotic fruit pavlova.

The DJ's set, which mixes the best of French music with a Caribbean twist, leads me to do a few dance steps... After which, I play a game of backgammon. Time for a siesta. I relax under the parasol, watching the planes sweep across the bay. Always a sight to behold!
To wake up, I enjoy a homemade rum-banana popsicle, my favorite flavor, on my deckchair. Time for some exercise! I set off for a paddle around the bay, thinking that tomorrow, I'll probably treat myself to a massage...
